I didn’t think there would be such a beautiful place in Mtwapa. Klaus’ house is conveniently located and we enjoyed swimming, table tennis and just bumming. It’s very well designed place into which you can disappear into calm and fun. we shall be back.

My family and I visited the house at a time when I was not feeling well.
The ambience was great, we did not experience the excessive coastal heat eespecially when seating at the dinning for our meals. The trees around the property seem to ababsorb the excessive heat. The chefs were amazing. for the first time I did not got to the kitchen to give out instructions or check on the food. Melab and her team were on point with the meals.
lots of monkeys always crossing on the trees like a highway the have created. The monkey don’t disturb you nor get into the house.

we really enjoyed our stay at this amazing house. Not only is it a beautiful property but the location is awesome. the staff is always available for anything you might need and clean the house and pool everyday. It was fantastic to stay at the African Funhouse. When we arrived we were not sure where it was but the caretaker came to find us immediately and took us up. He was very nice and showed us round. The villa is spotless and the views are amazing. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing. The whole experience was just great.

It was just exactly what we needed after travelling for a while. This was an oasis full of peace.
It was was super comfadtable, beautifull ans spacious. Also perfect when you want to go there with children.
We had some requests during our stay, bigger musquito nets for instance and it was immediately arranged. Also the fact that everyday our house was cleaned felt super luxurious. Thanks for everything. And till next time!

We had an a great time staying at African Fun house. On arrival we received a warm welcome from the staff who remained very helpful throughout our stay. Klaus and Monica kept us informed on anything we needed to know and were always prompt in responding to anything we needed. Very peaceful location, clean with friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

We were very disappointed with the jacuzzi, which contains only cold water and was therefore unusable for us. The house has no screens, so mosquitoes can penetrate undisturbed. Mosquito nets were only installed on multiple demand and our own initiative, which is very atypical and dangerous to health in the malaria area. The house is not completely cleaned with stains and mold in a few places. As a compensation for the inconvenience, we were not charged a broken drinking glass, which we found inappropriate given the numerous problems, especially since we were not even responsible for the glass going to beuch. The location and amenities of the house are wonderful.

This house is beautiful I will definitely stay again. You can order food from the nearby restaurant. You get the full house for yourself when you book this place. You should definitely try! Great shower with hot water working fine. German owner.

I’m not a person who usually write reviews but now I’ll make some time for this splendid location. The villa was even above my expectations. Great hosts friendly and helpful staff and an absolute amazing place and location.
I ve been going to Mombasa for 29 years and African fun house is my number one place I ve stayed in. Definitely will be going there again!

Klaus’s AirBnb was the central location for an amazing stay in Mombasa. We felt safe and secure in their home and were able to get an up-close look at life in Mtwapa. We definitely recommend booking this location for your stay!

Klaus and Nana were great hosts. They had great communication and assisted us with our concerns. The caretaker, Rama was also wonderful, he was able to find a delivery person for all our needs. The house is very clean as the cleaning lady came daily. The location is great and close to a waterfront restaurant which is 3 minutes away.
Power went out in most parts of Mtwapa during our stay, but we kept ourselves entertained with the board games and pool which was our highlight – a power generator would definitely be a great add on to the property.
Other than that, all was amazing and we had a fantastic stay. Would recommend!
